Important: Government Dental Programs You May Qualify For
One of the reasons Joanne opened Orchid Dental Care was to help bridge the gap between available government support programs and the people who need them. Many people don’t realize they may qualify for dental coverage through these programs. Orchid Dental Care proudly accepts:
CDCP (Canadian Dental Care Plan)
The Canadian Dental Care Plan is a federal program designed to provide dental coverage for uninsured Canadians with a family income under $90,000 per year. If you don’t have dental insurance through work or a private plan, you may be eligible for coverage that helps with routine cleanings, exams, fillings, and more. This program is being rolled out in phases, so if you think you might qualify, it’s worth checking your eligibility and applying.
ODSP (Ontario Disability Support Program)
The Ontario Disability Support Program provides income and employment support to people with disabilities. If you’re currently receiving ODSP benefits, you’re also eligible for dental coverage through the program. This can include preventive care, restorative treatments, and emergency dental services. Many people on ODSP don’t realize that dental care is part of their benefits—Orchid Dental Care is here to help you access the care you deserve.
HSO (Healthy Smiles Ontario)
Healthy Smiles Ontario is a free dental program for children and youth aged 17 and under from low-income families. If your family receives benefits through Ontario Works, ODSP, or meets certain income requirements, your child may qualify for regular checkups, cleanings, fillings, and even emergency dental care at no cost. Joanne loves working with young patients and makes their visits fun and stress-free.
