Honoring, Gratitude, and Guilt Exhibit

The exhibit, entitled Honoring, Gratitude and Guilt, showcases Brant’s two-year investigation on the subject of honoring animals. Maps, diagrams, photographs, and sculpture made from the bones of common animals coalesce in unexpected ways, as Brant explores her subject through ongoing research, teaching and fieldwork. Among the many intriguing pieces, viewers will find a historical analysis of pet cemetery gravestones consisting of photographs of graves paired with images from contemporary American culture.
