This is a BEER RUN that combines drinking beer with running for maximum fun!
Runners drink one 5oz cup of beer before running a 1.25K loop.
This race crosses the Beckwith Street Bridge, the Tay River’s only surviving swing bridge. Built in 1889, it is also one of Canada’s oldest rivet-connected truss bridges and one of the oldest metal bridges in Ontario.
This is a fun run – if you’re looking for a 5K PB and aren’t willing to have some fun, THIS IS NOT THE EVENT FOR YOU!
(Non-alcoholic beer is available)
What’s included:
– A 1.25K loop course that crosses three bridges including the Beckwith Swing Bridge!
– Race starts and ends at the Bridge Master’s original house, built in 1889
– One pint of yummy Bridge Masters Brewing Company beer divided into four cups – one for each lap!
– Race celebrates St. Andrew’s Day with a Scottish piper-lead parade to the start
