CP Rail Holiday Train Visits Perth

Perth OntarioOn Monday November 28, 2011 the annual CP Rail Holiday Train rolls into Perth, in aid of the Perth & District Food Bank. The festive locomotive, which will travel across Canada to raise funds for local food banks, will arrive at the Wilson Street West CP Rail tracks at 9:40am. As the stage unfolds, the crowd will be treated to musical performances by Valdy and The Brothers Dube. Guest appearances will be made by Deputy Mayor John Gemmell, Reps of the Perth Food Bank and Father Christmas! Everyone is invited to attend!

The Perth & District Food Bank volunteers will be set-up to accept donations of non-perishable food items and cash, and the folks at Foodsmiths will offer hot chocolate in exchange for a donation.

Please note that Wilson Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Harris Street and Highway #7, in order to accommodate the train’s arrival. Limited parking is available at the Perth Indoor Pool. It’s anticipated the train will depart at approximately 10:45am.
