
Homecoming Weekend: BLAST FROM THE PAST HOMECOMING WEEKEND: JULY 22-24, 2016
Perth’s Blast from the Past Homecoming Weekend on July 22nd to 24th, 2016 is a legacy heritage party like no other! Friday night features a traditional night-shirt parade followed by fireworks to kick off the weekend with a “blast.”
• Opening Ceremonies: at beautiful Stewart Park
• A BBQ Block Party: three-day event.
• A night-shirt parade: on Friday, July 22.
• Fireworks: 10 p.m. on Friday, July 22.
• The Canadian Stone Carving Festival: stonecarvers at the Fairgrounds.
• A night-shirt parade: on Friday, July 22.
• A Parade: through town on Saturday, July 23 will wrap up in front of town hall.
• Blue Rodeo: Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Perth Fairgrounds.
• A Military Tattoo: in Stewart Park and will feature pipes and drums bands and more.
• An Ecumenical Service: at the Stewart Park stage Sunday afternoon for a ecumenical service.

On Saturday an old-fashioned homecoming parade with pipe bands, highland dancers, military groups, vintage cars and floats weaves through town, followed by opening ceremonies in Stewart Park and a military tattoo. Sunday will feature an ecumenical service in the park. All weekend you can enjoy the BBQ Block Party with ribs, live entertainment, children’s activities, food vendors and a car show at the fairgrounds.
