Tom Green<\/strong><\/a><\/span> recently relocated to Canada, where he starred in Amazon Prime\u2019s \u201cLOL: Last One Laughing Canada.\u201d He cracked up many of Canada\u2019s funniest comedians, including K. Trevor Wilson, Dave Foley, Colin Mochrie and special guest P.K. Subban.<\/p>\nTom\u2019s program \u201cThe Tom Green Show,\u201d which began on Ottawa cable TV and moved to MTV, influenced the rise of shock comedy shows like \u201cJackass.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tom\u2019s appeared in several films, including \u201cCharlie\u2019s Angels,\u201d \u201cRoad Trip,\u201d \u201cStealing Harvard,\u201d \u201cShred\u201d and \u201cFreddy Got Fingered,\u201d which he wrote and directed.<\/p>\n
Tom\u2019s TV appearances include hosting \u201cSaturday Night Live.\u201d He is among the few comedians to guest-host for David Letterman on \u201cLate Show with David Letterman.\u201d<\/p>\n
The eccentric, funny man was also a contestant on \u201cCelebrity Big Brother,\u201d in which, despite being Canadian, he was voted America\u2019s favourite house guest. He competed on \u201cThe Celebrity Apprentice\u201d with former U.S. president Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
In 2006 Green, a pioneer in independent web-casting, was producing a talk show from his Los Angeles home. Fellow comedian Joe Rogan named Green\u2019s show as an influence on his podcast, \u201cThe Joe Rogan Experience.\u201d Numerous podcasters and other online content creators have cited Green as a pioneer in the medium.<\/p>\n
Tom\u2019s battle with testicular cancer was chronicled in the short film \u201cThe \u201cTom Green Cancer Special.\u201d The topic was also covered in his 2004 autobiography \u201cHollywood Causes Cancer: The Tom Green Story.\u201d<\/p>\n
