It’s tea party time!
How creative can you be? How outrageous? How divine?
Join Kim Lulashnyk and Judy Fielding at Stone Manor Studios for a joyful afternoon of introductory millinery as we transform small percher hats into wonderfully imaginative pieces of wearable art, perfect for a tea party!
We will begin with a colourful look at the fascinating history of fascinators, including memorable headpieces worn at royal celebrations, race days, weddings, and fashion events. Then we will talk about colour, shape, height, balance, movement, and personality before bringing out the veiling, ribbon, feathers, flowers, trims, needles, thread, and hot glue.
Perhaps your fascinator will be delicate and romantic. Perhaps it will be bold, theatrical, and just a little outrageous. It might even need a tiny bird, a miniature teacup, or something no one else could possibly imagine.

Your small ready-to-decorate hat, materials, shared tools, instruction, and a light snack and refreshment break served in delightful teacups are all included. Beginners are warmly welcomed, and you are invited to bring your own lightweight embellishments or unusual ideas.
You will also be invited to model your creation at the Fashion Show on Friday, October 9, with plenty of time between events to make adjustments or add a few final flourishes at home.
Space is limited. Register through Stone Manor Studios.
Hats off. Perchers on. Let’s make an entrance!
