{"id":947,"date":"2010-07-29T15:44:10","date_gmt":"2010-07-29T15:44:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.communityexplore.com\/perthontario\/?p=947"},"modified":"2010-08-08T15:56:05","modified_gmt":"2010-08-08T15:56:05","slug":"metal-meltdown-coming-to-perth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communityexplore.com\/perthontario\/metal-meltdown-coming-to-perth\/","title":{"rendered":"Metal Meltdown Coming to Perth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Metal Meltdown is headed for Perth once more, and metalheads in the town are buzzing with anticipation at the heavy metal concert\u2019s 5<sup>th<\/sup> visit to Perth.<\/p>\n<p>The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 244 will be playing host to the metal show, which is taking place on the 14<sup>th<\/sup> of August.<\/p>\n<p>The Metal Meltdown, which is now an annual event, used to have long delays in between concert dates. It wasn\u2019t until the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> concert in 2008 that the concert finally took off and became a success. Because of this, Metal Meltdown then became an annual event ever since.<\/p>\n<p>According to one of the event\u2019s promoters, Aaron Hoffman, bringing heavy metal music to Perth has always been his desire. In his younger years, finding a dozen people who liked heavy metal was considered an accomplishment; now metal is a really big thing in Perth.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s show is expected to get an audience of around 300 people, but that number could change if more people from outside Perth join to watch the concert.<\/p>\n<p>Motorheadache, a Motorhead tribute band, will be headlining.
