The Perth and District Chamber of Commerce is bringing together community business leaders, business owners, government officials and educators to discuss the area\u2019s labour market at a day-long meeting March 9.<\/p>\n
The \u20182016 Labour Market Symposium\u2019 will be held at Best Western Parkside Inn and Spa and will begin with registration and continental breakfast at 8 a.m. The morning meeting will begin with introductions and a welcome from incoming Chamber President Debra Bellevue who will discuss concepts for the day and also the Chamber\u2019s role in our business community.<\/p>\n
Scheduled speakers include:<\/p>\n
Jean-Pierre Giroux, Director of Human Capital Development with the Canadian Manufacturing Network;<\/strong> Lunch will be served at or around noon.<\/p>\n After lunch, participants shall be splited into groups of 6-8 to brainstorm on specific questions, discuss their experiences and come up with recommendations on how to ensure our labour market meets the needs of employers well into the future.
