SUMMARY:Guided Snowshoe Hike at Perth Wildlife Reserve
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \n  \n\n\nKick off RVCA’s 60th anniversary outdoor adventure challenge with a guided snowshoe hike! All ages & abilities welcome. Snowshoes available. \n\n\n\n\nMore Details: \nExplore Perth Wildlife Reserve’s trails by snowshoe! We’ll begin with a quick snowshoeing tutorial for beginners\, and snowshoes will be available to borrow by request – please add the appropriate snowshoes by weight to your registration at checkout. The hike will cover about 2.5 km on flat terrain and will take between 1 and 1.5 hours to complete\, including stops to talk about the site along the way. Some parts of the trail will be groomed. Dogs are not allowed on the trails. Light refreshments will be available after the hike. \nThis event will serve as the launch of our 60th Anniversary Outdoor Adventure Challenge\, part of our anniversary celebrations taking place throughout 2026. This inclusive challenge encourages participants to visit all 11 conservation areas by year’s end. Get outside and explore our sites to the best of your ability! Takes place at St. Paul’s United Church\, 25 Gore St. West\, Perth\, ON.  \nThe Music Team at St. Paul’s United Church in Perth is sponsoring an exciting musical event: Perth musician and composer Mark Bailey has written a music score to accompany the 1931 classic horror movie\, Frankenstein. The movie will be seen on the large screen in St. Paul’s accompanied by a live orchestra playing Mark’s new score\, with Rick Rangno conducting. \nMark Bailey is a professional musician and has been a published composer for many years\, but this is a particularly major accomplishment! Bailey’s music captures all the excitement and foreshadowing of the movie but also sheds a fresh light on the character of Frankenstein. His music enhances the movie.
